Ruth Caudill

Ruth Ellen (Bowsher) Caudill died September 28, 2013. She was born February 17, 1939, daughter of Andy and Sarah Marie (Dunn) Bowsher, who preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Caudill; brother; Leslie “Peachie” Bowsher; sister, Margie Downs; brother in law, William “Bill” Downs; nephew, James Bowsher and several aunts, uncles and cousins. In 1960 she married her husband Richard “Dick” Caudill. They were married for 46 years. Richard passed away February 3, 2007. Ruth lived all her life in Pickaway County. She worked at Fairmont Restaurant, Orient Rehabilitation, and for the past 30+ years as a motor route carrier for the Circleville Herald. She made friends with a lot of her customers and enjoyed talking with them each day. She was a 1958 graduate of Darby Township High School. She was a member of AMVETS and the Senior Center both in Circleville, OH. She lived her life to enjoy her children and grandchildren and loved country music. She is survived by her two children, Julie (Caudill) Finley and Scott Caudill; grandchildren, Sonya (Caudill) Latta, Hailee Finley, Zachary Finley and Matthew Davis; great-grandchild Harper Latta; several nieces and nephews; sister in law, Marilyn Bowsher and special friend, Phyllis Hulse. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 3, 2013 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Muhlenberg Twp. Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
