Ruth Corne

Ruth E. Corne, 81, of Circleville, died March 22, 2012 at Brown Memorial. She was born October 1, 1930 in Benton Twp., Hocking County, the daughter of William and Eura (Woodard) Keck. She was retired from General Electric, loved gardening, doing sewing alterations and crafts and was known for her wonderful cinnamon rolls, fried chicken and strawberry delight. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion Corne, Sr.; sister, Virginia Smith and brother, Cecil Keck. She is survived by her children, James (Carol) Corne, Marion (Judy) Corne, Jr., Barbara (Michael) Geron and Cynthia (Bruce) Rickerd; grandchildren, Jason and Joseph Corne, Amy (John) Carlson, Andrew Corne, Candace (Rob) Hurley, Gerod Rickerd, Marion (Allen) Crone, Jocelyn (Nathaniel) Leeth and Matthias Rickerd; 5 great grandchildren, J.J., Brody, Aidan, Anlyn and Logan; special nephew Russell & Carolyn Smith and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday March 26, 2012 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-5- p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove Methodist Church.
