Ruth Norquist

Ruth B. Norquist, 80 of Wood Dale, formerly of Circleville passed away June 11, 2010 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, IL. She was born April 13, 1930 in Circleville the daughter of Earl and Laura Smith. Ruth moved to Chicago in 1961 from Circleville, worked at various jobs, moved to the suburbs in 1970, and was a housewife the rest of her life. She enjoyed traveling by motorhome and singing. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Haley; four sisters, Opal Huff, Goldie Arledge, Louise Good and Eunice Sterling and 3 brothers, Allen, Leland and Lloyd Smith. She was the wife of Harley Norquist; mother of Mike and Tim Haley; grandmother of Heather McMillin, Ashley Haley, Kathrina Robbins and Matthew Haley-Voisin; great grandmother of three and sister of Elsie Whaley and Wayne Smith. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday June 18, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
