Ruth P. Schleich, 80, of Williamsport, died September 28, 2011 at Berger Hospital. She was born August 29, 1931 in Ross County, the daughter of Kenneth and Jessie (Rhoads) Williams. She was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church and Methodist Women, 50 year member and past matron O.E.S. Heber Lodge #62, big supporter of Westfall Athletic and Musical Departments, especially the band. She was well known for her homemade noodles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Schleich and sisters, Margaret Arnett and Wanda Hettinger. She is survived by her daughters, Debra (Clark) McFarland, Janet (Wayne) Wright, Cindy (Bill) Kiser, Kathy (Dan) Hill and Laura Schleich Riggs; 9 grandchildren, CK (Lori) McFarland, Toni (Gregg) Henry, Chad (Miranda) Kiser, Tara (Josh) Stevens, Christy (Darry) Rigsby, Tiffany (Josh) Elster, Jenna Hill, Cierra Schleich and Tia Riggs; 14 great grandchildren, Montana McFarland, MacKenzie, Kylee, Gabriella and Caleb Henry, Isaac, Isabel and Carter Stevens, Blake and Brooke Elster, Canaan Kiser, Haden and Riley Rigsby and Jaycie Melvin; sisters, Barbara (John) O’Neal, Clara Jo (Robert) Reeser and Pam (John) Dignan; brothers, Nick and Jerry Williams and special friend, Teresa Graffis Campbell. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday October 3, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Springlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Westfall High School Band.
