Ruth Thomas

Biography Ruth L. Thomas 77, of South Bloomingville, died July 15, 2009 at OSU Hospital. She was born September 1, 1931 in Vinton County, the daughter of William and Lelia (Allison) Thompson. She was co-founder of Brush Arbor Open Air Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Virgil McNichols; 2nd husband, George Thomas; brother, Ervin and brother-in-law, Walden Glassburn. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Peggy) McNichols of Radcliffe, OH; 2 grandaughters, Rachel (Wade) Hoyt and Rachelle (Matt) Haybron; 3 great grandchildren, Hunter Hoyt and Chloe and Lane Haybron; brothers, Clifford (Alice) Thompson of Columbus and Dale (Mary) Thompson of Ray, OH; sister, Leona Glassburn of Chillicothe; several step-children, nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday July 18, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, with Pastor Jim Harper officiating. Burial will be in Bell Cemetery, Allensville.
