Ruth (Hankins) Zwayer

Ruth Nadene Zwayer, 86, of Circleville, died Sept. 13, 2024 at her home. She was born Aug. 4, 1938 in Latham, Ohio the daughter of Fred Hankins and Bea (Trimble) Breck.  Ruth retired from Hopewell Care Center.  She loved sewing and made numerous quilts making sure everyone in the family had one.  She loved cooking and baking cookies for Bob and having family get togethers.  Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kristie Ward and brother Nevin Hankins.  Ruth is survived by her husband of 57 years Robert Zwayer whom she married on June 9, 1967, her children, Martin Tim (Lynette) Elward, Eddie Alan (Pearl) Elward, stepson Charles (Donna) Zwayer, son-in-law Michael Ward, sister Phyllis Potts, grandchildren, Jamie Ward, Cory (Julie) Ward, Gary Ward, Christopher Elward, Janna (Jason) Pitts, Thomas “TJ” Elward, Brian (Kelly) Elward, Chad Elward, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and Marilyn Schmidt, a wonderful special friend who spent years making trips to Columbus for doctors appointments.  Funeral services will be Thursday Sept. 19, 2024 at 11 am at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial in Hallsville Cemetery.  Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm.  Online condolences may be made at  www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
