Ruthane Thompson

Ruthane Thompson, 81, of Circleville passed away on January 26, 2025. She was born on February 19, 1943 in Columbus to Clifton and Elizabeth (Fromm) Wilder. On October 10, 1964 she married the love of her life Paul Thompson Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Thompson; granddaughter Alicia Thompson,  great granddaughter Audrey Welsh, sisters Patty Smallwood, Karen Thatcher; brothers-in-law Joe Richard, Ed Jr., Tilden and Randall, Thompson, Clyde Thatcher and Paul Morris; sisters-in-law Cora, Phyllis and Belvia and by son-in-law Ronald Deoring. Ruthane is survived by her children Katrina (Kenny) Smith, Tonya Deoring, Paul Thompson Jr. and Terrell (Mike) McCrady; grandchildren P.J. VanHorn, Kelsey (Travis Kneece) VanHorn, John (Shawna) Smith and Lacie Smith, Jessica Ward, Josh Ward (Ashley Cavazos), Abby (Carl) Herrnstein, Ashley (Ryan Watkins) Thompson, Amanda (Daniel Williams) Thompson, Hannaha (Tyler Giffin) Thompson, Megan (Chris Shamblin) Thompson, Kelli (Shawn) McIver, Kevin (Alissa) McCrady; sisters Molly Morris and Judy (Ronnie) Miller, brothers Tim (Medi) Wilder, Frank Wilder; 30 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-laws Art and Marcella Timmons, Ted and May Poling, Janie Thompson, Joe Wagner, Jessie Patterson; aunt Judith Maron; cousin Sue Ellen Huston and by special friends Donna Fite, Carolyn Burns and Nellie Esposito. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at noon at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10-12.
