Ruthayn Mertz

Ruthayn Mertz, 71, of Ashville passed away on August 3, 2016. She was born on December 5, 1944 in Columbus to Theodore and Dorothy (Berkheimer) Queen. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a former member of the Board of Directors Pickaway Agriculture Society, served as Treasurer and Vice President of Pickaway County Womens Republican Club and committee woman GOP Central Committee. Ruthayn is survived by her husband; Dennis “Denny” Mertz, children; Kim (Vaughn) Pennington, Karin (Mike) Yahraus, Kathi Mertz, Kassandra “Sandy” Mertz, Kyle Mertz, grandchildren; Tyler and Caitlin Pennington, Trent and Ashley Yahraus, Angel Mertz and by sister; Sandy (Dave) Carver. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with David Carver officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
