Sharon Comer

A person’s life is a journey created from one’s adventures, experiences and emotions. Sharon K. Comer lived her life journey full of passion and love for adventure and for her family. Born June 24, 1947, Sharon was the eldest child and only daughter to George and Arnetta Seymour. Along with two younger brothers, John and Buck, Sharon shared a happy childhood full of memories and an endearing bond for her siblings. Soon after graduating from Amanda Clearcreek High School, Sharon began working at General Electric in Circleville as a lehr operator. There she met and fell in love with her soul mate Ray Comer, Jr. The couple married July 4, 1968 and soon the family of two became a family of five. The couples’ first blessing was their eldest son, Jeffrey. Twin boys, Michael & Randy added to the adventure and excitement a few years later. Sharon surrounded herself with friends and family and was never afraid to experience all life had to offer. Throughout the years, she enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, Red Hat Society, Elvis Presley, Viva Las Vegas and her growing family that now includes five granddaughters and one grandson. Her greatest passion in life was her role as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. William W. Purkey sums up Sharon’s life best with his quote: “You gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening and live like it’s heaven on earth. Sharon’s journey came to an end on earth February 13, 2013. As she begins her new journey in the arms of our Heavenly Father, she is survived by her parents, George and Arnetta Seymour; brothers, John (Pat) and Harold “Buck” Seymour; husband, Ray Comer, Jr.; sons, Jeffery (Michelle), Michael and Randy (Laura) Comer; grandchildren, Warner Ashton, Joshua, Amber, Logan, Chandler and Alivia Comer. A “Celebration of Life” memorial for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Whisler. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements completed by the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
