Sharon Downs

Sharon M. Downs, 68, of Circleville died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Berger Hospital, Circleville. Sharon was born on July 24, 1946 in Madison, West Virginia. She was a 1964 graduate of South High School, Columbus and attended Bliss College. She retired from the State of Ohio Department of Administrative Services, Human Resources as a Human Resource Administrator. Sharon also served as a board member for over 20 years and was chairperson and vice chairperson for Ohio PERS. She was also chairperson of the Deferred Compensation Board State of Ohio for 20 years. Sharon is survived by her husband John P. Downs, brother; Kenneth Bumgardner of Texas, sister; Sandy Bumgardner McDonald Stack of Knoxville, TN, nephew and niece; Carl and Bethany Lutz and great nephew and niece; Tylor and Kara Lutz and by various aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is sadly missed by her beloved Jack Russell, Daisy Duke. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Reber Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wellman Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society, Faith Hope and Love for Life, 5555 Franze Road, Dublin Ohio 43017 or Ohio Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, P.O.
