August 30, 1960 – February 14, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sheri Miller, who left this world on February 14, 2025, at the age of 64. Sheri was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, aunt, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her. Born on August 30, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, Sheri was the daughter of Dallas and Mary Jane Taynor. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family, faith, and the countless “kidos” she nurtured and guided throughout her career. Sheri was a passionate educator and mentor, serving as a school teacher, Sunday school children’s director, and daycare administrator. She had a gift for shaping young minds and hearts, instilling in them a love for Jesus, kindness, and faith. Her impact on generations of children and families will be felt for years to come. Her faith was the foundation of her life. Sheri was deeply involved in ministry and a devoted member of Cornerstone Christian Church, where she faithfully attended and served in many capacities. She found joy in sharing God’s love, teaching children about His word, and being an encouragement to those around her. Her unwavering faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Miller, and their three children: Timothy Miller (Laura Miller), Sarah Gidney (John Gidney), and Mary Spriggs (Nate Spriggs Sr.). She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished every moment with her family. Sheri was also a proud and loving grandmother to seven grandchildren: Andrew Spriggs, Nathaniel Spriggs Jr., Ela Gidney, Anna Gidney, Carter Spriggs, Hunter Miller, and Eleanor Miller. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she treasured the time she spent with them. She was preceded in death by her parents Dallas and Mary Jane, brothers Michael Taynor, Jerry-Pat Taynor, Steve Taynor, Danny Taynor and by her sister, Amy Lovsey. She is survived by her brother Frank Taynor, who will always cherish her memory.
