Shirley Garrett

Shirley Ann Garrett, 65, of Circleville, died August 16, 2010 at Berger Hospital. She was born January 30, 1945, in Bainbridge, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Miller) Zickafoose. She had worked for Constance Care Home Care and had received her Associates Degree in Applied Science from Ohio University. She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Robert Garrett and sister, Carol Joyner. She is survived by her mother, Mary Haddox; children, Jerry Garrett, Christine (David) Hix, Kathi Bennett and Brenda Hill; 12 grandchildren, Kevin, Diane, Haley, Samantha, Robert, Matthew, Ashley, Savanah, Lauren, Bobby, Benny and Katie; 5 great grandchildren, Lily, Luke, Sinclair, Jason and Christopher; brothers, Charles (Shirley) Zickafoose and Dan Zickafoose; sisters, Ellen (Donn) Swisher, Alice Saliba and Linda Cotton; several nieces and nephews; dearest friend, Orestes Secada; lifetime friends, Rosie Reeser, Betty Baker, Margie Hemming and Velma Garrett and loyal dog, Sasha. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday August 20, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
