Shirley Waites

Shirley Rose Waites, 75, of Circleville, died December 9, 2011 at OSU Hospital. She was born May 26, 1936 in Circleville, the daughter of Arthur and Adah (Coleman) Thomas. She attended Circleville High School and Crossroads Church, was an active and passionate member of the Democratic Party and received many Christmas cards from multiple Presidents. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Katie Ketcham; sisters, Sonia Seymour and Leona Thomas; brothers, Chares, Lowell and Gary Thomas and son-in-law, Fred Imes. She is survived by her children, Roxanna Imes, Mark (Donna) Waites, Miriam (Jeff) Scudder and Amy (Jerry) Isaac; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Ketcham, Mark (Monica) Imes, Christopher and Elizabeth Scudder, Megan, Johnathan and Benjamin Isaac; great granddaughter, Makaila Imes; special niece, Jonnie Swackhammer and many close friends and family. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday December 12, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside McConnell Heart Hospital or Crossroads Church.
