Shirley A (Bircher) Wickline

Shirley A. Wickline, age 81, of Circleville passed on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.  She was born November 30, 1941, in Jackson, OH and was the daughter of the late Orin Lloyd and Mabel Leona Hoover Bircher.  She was a resident of Circleville and a 1959 graduate of Circleville High School.  She was formerly employed at the Circleville Lamp Plant.

Shirley was a very talented artist and enjoyed creating and giving special works of art and drawings to her loved ones. Shirley had an ornery sense of humor and loved telling jokes and making others laugh.  She loved watching tv, listening to music, and admiring nature and animals.  One would be hard-pressed to find a more giving person and thoughtful person than Shirley.  Always focused on others, Shirley enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and she held her children and grandchildren especially dear to her heart. Oftentimes looking for an opportunity to give a special present or handwritten card to a special friend or loved one.

Shirley is survived by her son, James (Rosi Flores) Wickline of Lancaster; two daughters- Terry (Charles) Crawford of Pickerington and LaWana (Ed) Detty of Chillicothe, OH; grandchildren, Shayne (Ali) Yamamoto, Connor Wickline, Krystie (Nicholas) Perry, Jeron (Abbe) Detty, Caridi (Travis) Rinehart, and Ricky Wickline Jr.  Shirley had 4 great grandchildren.  Also, survived by sister, Betty Radcliff of Circleville and brother Richard (Cheryl) Bircher also of Circleville and several dear nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her sons, Darrell R. Wickline Jr. and Ricky L. Wickline, grandson Sgt. Joseph Collette, brother, David L. Bircher sister, Eleanor Conkel and brother-in-law Dwight Radcliff.

Graveside services will be held at Hitler Ludwig Cemetery in Circleville on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. for family and friends.
