Steven Parker

Steven E. Parker, Sr., 55, of Laurelville, died March 14, 2013 at his residence. He was born July 16, 1957 in Columbus. He was a electrician by trade and volunteer for the Laurelville Fire Dept. for more than 6 years. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Dorothy Janice (Wedemeyer) and Benjamin Edgar Parker and sister, Susan Bietel. He is survived by his wife, Penny (Corne) Parker; father, Elwood Vanover; children, Steven Davis, Steven E. Parker, Jr., Amy (Stacey McNichols) Parker, Monica (Derek) Stevens, Corey Parker and Felicia Parker; 8 grandchildren; brother, David (Brenda) Parker and sister, Pam Proveaux. Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday March 18, 2013 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Friends may call from 1-3 and 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Laurelville Fire Dept or American Cancer Society.
