Thad Shaffer

On August 3, 2012 Thad Shaffer, 37, of Laurelville passed peacefully in his sleep. He was born on April 18, 1975 to Clarence Edwin, Jr. and Janet Marie (Eccard) Shaffer. He was the loving father of Evelyn (Evie) Shaffer. She was the light of his life, his world centered around her. He was preceded in death by his mother; infant brother, Tad; grandparents, Clarence, Sr. and Ruth Shaffer; Emmett Sr. and Retha Eccard. He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn of Circleville; father, Clarence; brothers, Ted (Rae Jeanne) of Kutztown, PA and Tod (Mary) of Laurelville; sister, Mignonette of Circleville; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Jacob, Ashley, Megan and Lindsey and many other loving family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an account for Evelyn Shaffer Scholarship Fund at the Saltcreek Valley Bank c/o Tod & Mary Shaffer There will be a gathering at 9:00 a.m. Thursday August 9, 2012 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville followed by a 10:00 a.m. memorial service.
