Thomas Matthews

Thomas J. Matthews, 32, of Circleville, died July 29, 2011 at OSU as a result of an automobile accident. He was born July 31, 1978 in Chillicothe, the son of Richard and Connie (Mitchell) Matthews. He was a 1998 graduate of Paint Valley High School, employed by Laborers Union Local #423 and was very handy and helped people with odd jobs and was very involved in his children’s sports activities. He was preceded in death by his brother, Darold Matthews. He is survived by his wife, Sherry (Allman) Matthews; father, Richard Matthews of FL; mother, Connie Matthews of Chillicothe; children, Taelor Harmon, Tyler and Shelby Matthews; brother, Robert Matthews of Chillicothe and father and mother-in-law, Bill and Sharon Allman of Circleville. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday August 5, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a trust fund for Thomas’s children c/o Fifth Third Bank.
