Velma Ramey

Velma L. Ramey, 94, of Circleville, died February 6, 2012 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. She was born August 5, 1917 in Kingston, the daughter of Erwin Edgar and Mary Alice (Roote) Garrett. She was a member of Crossroads Church and a 30 year volunteer at Berger Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Ramey; daughters, Patrcia Ramey, Virginia Hiles, Carol Parsons, Joyce Ann Ramey and Martha Tabanello; granddaughter, April Robison and siblings, Paul, Leslie, Leroy and Virginia. She is survived by her children, Leona (Vic) Smathers, Lucille Gable, Ronald (Diane) Ramey, Donald (Becky) Ramey and Dianna (Vern) Stewart; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday February 11, 2012 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
