Vernon Smith

Vernon Smith, 43, of Washington C.H. passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Fayette Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. His death was sudden and unexpected. He was born on December 30, 1966 in Washington C.H.to Elmer Jr. and Annetta (Dahmer) Smith. He was a member of Burning Bush Community Church and had a Master’s in Education Administration. He was currently employed with Southern State Community College in Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Smith Jr.
Mr. Smith is survived by his mother, Annetta Smith of Washington C.H., two sons, Sabastian and Christian Smith both of Pickerington, sisters, Annetta Baker-Evans of Washington C.H., Gloria Jean (Dr. Lawrence) Petty of Plant City, Florida, two brothers, Elmer Joe and Shawn (Tiffani) Smith both of Washington C.H. and by several aunts, uncles, nephew, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bloomingburg Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
