Vesta “Marie” Townsend, 78, of Laurelville passed away on October 4, 2015 in Chillicothe. She was born on February 10, 1937 in Ross County to Allen and Marjorie (Abrahms) Kight. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her children; Brian, Chris and Debra Townsend, by brothers; Glendon and Virgil Kight. Marie is survived by her husband; Jack Townsend, grandchildren; Eric Vanbean, Krista Allen, Jeremy Townsend, Justin Townsend, Nicholas Townsend, great grandchildren; Jackson, Lilly, Talon, Lucia, Paltyn and Christopher, sisters; Alvetta Hanibale, Geraldine Keener, Bonnie Creamer and Jacquelyne Wyatt. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Laurelville Church of God. Graveside services will be held in Marion on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Laurelville Church of God on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Laurelville Church of God 16457 State Route 56, Laurelville Ohio.
