Victor Smathers, 89, of Hillsboro passed away on July 3, 2024. He was born on August 5, 1934 in Buchtel, Ohio. In addition to his wife Leona (Ramey) Smathers he was preceded in death by his children, Mike, Jan and Jeff, parents; brothers and sisters and granddaughter Lacy. Victor is survived by his step children Stephanie (Paul) Banik of Hillsboro, Dan Griffith of Circleville, Vickie Richardson of Xenia, Mona Rutter of Nelsonville, Mike Griffith of South Bloomingville; adopted daughter Nicole (Dwayne) Trimmer of Chattanooga, TN; daughter Vickie Maury of Tucson, Arizona; 12 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and 22 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Circleville First Church 436 E. Ohio St. Circleville, OH, 43113 with Pastor Jay Neff officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
