Wallace L. Peters, 92, of Circleville, went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2010 at Browns Nursing Home surrounded by his family. He was born may 7, 1918 in Walnut Twp., the son of John S. and Leona (Spangler) Peters. He was a member of Ringgold United Methodist Church for many years, started teaching Sunday School at the age of eighteen and held many offices in the church. He joined Pontius United Methodist Church in 1981. He worked on a farm with his father many years and then went to Container Corp. where he retired after 37 years. He enjoyed taking small trips, working his garden and growing beautiful roses. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Arlene Rae Peters. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Christine (Justice) Hagen Peters; step-son, Leroy (Sandie) Hagen of Circleville; 2 granddaughters, Krista Hagen (Randy) Jarvis, of Uniontown and Kara Hagen (Matt) Merz of Mason; grandson, Kevin (Annette) Hagen of Summit, NJ; 3 great granddaughters, Chelsie & Ciara Jarvis and Madilyn Merz and great grandson, Zachary Merz. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday June 25, 2010 at Pontius U.M.C. with Chaplain Jim Ferrell and Rev. John Ash officiating. Burial will be in Reber Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Memorial contributions may be made to Pontus U.M.C. and Berger Hospice. The family wishes to thank Browns Nursing Home and all for their wonderful care and hospice care.
