Walter Summers

Walter Summers, 86, of Laurelville passed away on September 28, 2017. He was born on January 7, 1931 in Akron to Artie and Helen (Rouse) Summers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Brenda Burrows. Walter was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a faithful member of Adelphi United Methodist Church, member of Logan Elm Lodge #624, AF&AM where he was a 60 year member and was twice Past Master. Walter is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lois Van Dyke Summers, daughters Donna and her husband Bob Burgess of Montgomery, Texas, Karen and wife Andi McClure of Sebring, Florida, son Ivan of Columbus and by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Adelphi United Methodist Church, 11892 Main Street, Adelphi, Ohio.
