Wayne Smith

Wayne L. Smith, 77, of Circleville, died December 15, 2010 in Lancaster. He was born May 16, 1933 in Circleville, the son of Earl and Laura (Wiseman) Smith. Wayne was a US Navy veteran of Korean War, retired from DuPont, and a member of Amvets Post 2256 and Moose Lodge 2240. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; Donna (Iles) Smith, sisters; Ruth Norquist, Opal Huff, Goldie Arledge, Louise Good and Eunice Sterling and brothers; Allen, Leland and Lloyd Smith. Wayne is survived by his children; David (Vivian) Smith of KY, Brenda (Doug) Woods and Jeffrey Bruce Smith of Circleville, grandchildren; Stephanie (Jack) Jenkins, David Smith Jr., Renee (Matthew) Wolfe and Megan Woods, 7 great-grandchildren and sister; Elsie (Pearl) Whaley of Circleville. Graveside services will be 12:15 pm Saturday, Dec.18, 2010 at the Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery with Chaplain Jim Ferrrell officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 10 am until noon at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Family requests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
