William Ray Barker, Sr. went peacefully to sleep at his home in Chillicothe, Ohio late Saturday evening and awoke to be with his Lord Father God. He had been under the attentive care of Adena Hospice and his wife and family. He was preceded in death by his father Ottis Lee Barker of Londonderry, Ohio; mother Monnie Fay (Certain Barker) Rinehart of Florida; brother Larry Jay Barker of Mount Sterling and a sister Fraces Kay (Barker) Redding and brother Robert Lee Barker both of Dade City, Fl. He is survived by his first and third wife Georgia Sue (Hunt) Barker of Chillicothe, Ohio and second wife Tracy Linn of Brooksville, Fl.; five children William Ray Barker, Jr., Anthony Lee Barker and Justin Alezander Barker of Chillicothe, Ohio, Ashley Ann (Barker-Stewart) (Jason Hedges) of Laurelville, Ohio and Monnie Fay Barker (Austin Naber) of Gloucester, VA.; seven grandchildren Danielle Lowell Marlin, Brittany Michelle Barker and Lindsey Nichole Barker of Fl., Tristian LeeAnn Barker of NM, Conner James Stewart, Celeste Fay and Sterling Ray Naber of VA; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins including special cousin Lloyd Wood. Bill worked in fertilizer and chemicals for several years, before moving to Florida with his family. There he worked on a dairy farm, then a rock mine. As a child he started playing music at an early age. Over the years he played acoustic guitar, drums and bass among other instruments. His favorite was the bass guitar. He moved back to his native Ohio in 2011. He was a former member of Salt Creek Valley Community Church then became a member of Tarlton Community Church. We are sure his now re-united with many of his Christian friends who had gone on before.
