William Davis

William “Kip” Davis joined hands with the angels and departed this life August 24, 2010. He was born in Newark. Kip was the son of Dr. David and Shirley Palmer of Laurelville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna (Smith) Davis; grandparents, Kermit and Gertrude Davis and John and Frances Trace. Kip was a 1971 graduate of Newark High School. He is survived by his mother; son, Kip Davis of Marne, OH; daughter, Melissa Cofer of Virginia Beach, VA; grandson, Kai Cofer; brother, Keith (Diane) Wetherill of New Jersey; sister, Kathleen (Matthew) Moran of FL; favorite aunt, Carol Fisher of Newark; many, many friends, cousins, 4 nephews and his best buddies, Summer and Hemi. Kip was a loving son, brother and father and has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew him. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 28, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville. Burial will be in West Rushville Cemetery.
