Gary Dockery

Gary Wayne Dockery of Circleville, Ohio Born to Willard Dockery and Rebecca Tackett on June 13, 1946 age 76 returned to his maker on Wednesday April 12,2023. He is remembered by his two Daughters Jewel Mattingly and Laura Eaton wife Marion Dockery brother Randall Dockery sister Linda Hixson and some nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by His mother and father and daughter Caroline as well a brother and sisters. Gary was loved by many and had extended family of stepchildren Tammy, Melissa, Gene and Jeff, son in law Jason Mattingly, grandchildren Gary, Jason, Jessica, Alexis, Desiree and Rhiannon. Gary had step grandchildren as well and many great grandchildren. Gary served in the Military and was a member of the VA. He was a lover of travel and loved learning about his family history. He was a storyteller and a great poet. Gary wanted to be an architect but loved to travel and just couldn't see himself setting in an office when there was a whole big world out there just waiting to be explored. Gary became a truck driver exploring the world and telling and writing his stories of all his experiences. He had several poems in print as well as a couple books. His life will be celebrated and remembered on Friday April 21, 2023 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio at Noon.
